it’s all fun and games until it’s not

not a 1D fan but this I believe applies to -all- kinds of artists, actors and such. the obsessive worship of ~real people~ does in fact put them into incredibly stressful situations that can leave them and their loved ones feeling incredibly unsafe. :/

Ignoring this is about 1 Direction, but this is something that everyone should read. Shipping real people is seriously weird and creepy. It just should not be done.

This is really upsetting, :/. Poor guys.

I think this is important to digest.

I think many fandoms become a breeding ground for obsessive or delusional people to escalate and feed into their behaviors and it can manifest in really unhealthy (and stupid lol) ways.

Then again, I like the whole expression and venting aspect.I mean, it is OKAY to fantasize unrealistic garbage as long as you know it.

It’s when it creeps into harassment and crossing boundaries (with each other and the source material) and it’s actually encouraged that it makes me feel really uneasy.
